RCF Connects is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Housing Navigator. This position plays a crucial role in our Housing First program, which aims to provide stable housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness by helping them secure and maintain stable housing.

Responsibilities

· Client Intake and Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals experiencing homelessness to understand their housing needs, barriers, and goals. Develop individualized housing plans in collaboration with clients.

· Housing Search and Placement: Assist clients in locating suitable housing options that meet their needs and preferences. Coordinate with landlords, property managers, and housing agencies to secure safe and affordable housing for clients.

· Advocacy and Support: Advocate on behalf of clients to overcome housing barriers and navigate complex systems. Provide support and guidance to clients in addressing legal, financial, and other issues related to housing stability.

· Community Outreach and Engagement: Collaborate with community partners, including shelters, outreach teams, healthcare providers, and social service agencies, to identify and reach individuals in need of housing support. Conduct outreach activities to raise awareness of the Housing First program and available resources.

· Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, housing placements, and program outcomes. Generate reports and collect data to track program effectiveness and outcomes.

· Training and Education: Stay informed about best practices in Housing First. Provide training and education to clients, staff, and community partners on housing first principles, trauma-informed care, and related topics. Attending Housing related workshops, when necessary, which may include topics such as Budgets, Life Skills etc.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field (preferred).

· Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, and/or other complex needs.

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse populations.

· Knowledge of housing resources, landlord-tenant laws, and community support services.

· Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Commitment to the principles of Housing First and harm reduction.

Salary and Benefits

· This is a full-time, nonexempt position.

· The anticipated salary range for this position is $44,990 – $52,000per year.

· A comprehensive benefits package is offered.
